Jamie White is President of LLI Engineering. Since 1910, his firm has been providing top-quality engineering and architectural design services for mission-critical facilities.

LLI is currently performing master planning for multiple hyperscale data center developments. Jamie is the Engineer of Record on a wide variety of data center projects including for Verizon, National Reconnaissance Office, Bureau of Labor Statistics, US Senate, Expedient, Iron Mountain, USPS, and many others. Related projects include microgrids, co-generation, and a Sensitive Compartmented Information Facility.

Mr. White earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology, where he studied on an Army ROTC Scholarship. He and LLI Engineering are licensed in multiple states throughout the US.

Jamie White gave us an overview of data centers--discussing their types, scales, construction costs, operation costs, and power usage effectiveness (PUE). He also discussed current market trends.

We discovered what drives data center development, and learned how to identify the projects we should pursue. Mr. White shared his thoughts on how CMAA and construction managers can contribute to determining the costs and values of these projects.
